Requirements:
- Higher engineering, physics or mathematics education
- Working knowledge in the fields of robotics, mechanics and control
- Good knowledge of physics and mathematics
- Good knowledge of algorithms, data structures, willingness to participate in the development of complex algorithms at the highest technical levels
- Ability to analyze algorithms’ performance on real hardware and their modification to improve efficiency by taking into account the physical processes
- Programming skills in C ++ / Matlab / Python
- Knowledge of modern numerical methods
- Technical English skills
- Experience in writing technical texts in Russian and English
- Analytical mindset, ability to conduct research independently and as part of a team.

- Practical experience with robotic platforms (including drones and autonomous vehicles)
- Experience with robot control
- Post-graduate degree
- Knowledge of ROS
- Matlab / Simulink knowledge
- CAD experience
- Experience in control systems development for complex objects
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of robotics
- Control systems understanding and design
- Experience with machine vision
- Experience with microcontroller programming
- Experience in the development of software and user interfaces
- Development and writing of engineering and technical documentation
- Experience with writing technical and academic papers in English.

Main Responsibilities
- Conducting research in selected area
- Annual and future projects planning
- Formation of laboratory’s research objectives and expected results
- Academic mentorship in the framework of the laboratory research plan
- Monitoring and quality control of work conducted by the employees and research partners
- Ensuring practical implementation of research results, supervision and technical assistance
- Work with patent applications and licensing of scientific and technical inventions and ensuring the registration of inventions and innovation proposals
- Ensuring the efficiency of the unit and rational use of work force.
Qualifications
- PhD degree (Russian equivalent: Candidate or doctor of science)
- Strong publication record
- A minimum of 5 years work experience in research and management
- Excellent knowledge of the subject area
- Contract negotiations and management skills when collaborating with other institutions
- Experience with patent applications and technical documentation
- Upper-intermediate English level.
